Steve Dewart is an organizational consultant and leadership guide. For over 10 years, he has been committed to developing authentic leadership practices in the boardrooms and offices of corporations, nonprofits and educational institutions. Steven Dewart's approach is unique in that he strives to integrate personal development into his coaching work with executives and managers in a way that is grounded and results-oriented.
Steve Dewart was a Co-Founder and Partner in Orion West, a consulting firm which provided coaching, mentorship and guidance to the Presidents, CEOs and senior managers of over a dozen organizations, including major utility and software companies as well as renowned academic institutions.
Over the past 8 years, Steve Dewart has been integrally involved in dozens of organizational change initiatives at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Through extensive joint work with the University leadership group, Steve Dewart has brought about major changes and improvements in how the leadership within the Housing and Facilities Departments manage and operate.
Before joining Orion West, Steve Dewart was head of Corporate Development for Star Telecom. In this position, he played a leading role in successfully developing, managing and leading a highly successful leadership development program for middle-level managers; served as an executive coach to senior-level personnel; as well as facilitating strategic planning and problem-solving sessions for department leaders.

Steven Dewart has coached presidents, CEO’s, and senior managers to bring about dramatic organizational improvements in a diverse range of industries, including software, telecommunications and higher education. His strengths include aligning the management teams of newly acquired companies, resolving conflict and differences among executive and management teams, and designing leadership development programs that achieve results.
Steve Dewart earned his M.A. in Organizational Psychology at the University of Rhode Island and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Duke University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a trained "Vision Fast Guide" through the School of Lost Borders, and enjoys leading small groups on spiritual quests and pilgrimages. Steven Dewart lives with his wife and son Colorado. |
